This is the BEST sock pattern I have found.
Sock pattern gives all sizes - baby to large adult and adjust for three basic yarns types. Well worth the $5.00

Try it at http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/classic-socks-for-the-family

I've never tried the afterthought heel, but I'm still an amateur when it comes to knitting socks. I like your definition of matching for socks.

I knit a hat out of Malabrigo that my husband picked out, and I called it The Clown Puke Hat. I think it was the Bahia colorway. Very similar to your socks. :)

You did your part by showing me the ways of two at a time socks and I have done mine by proseltyzing the afterthought heel. It's genius.

Clown Barf. Nuff said. That's not your colourway is it? Because if it is I would deduce that you were half-asleep when you handpainted that skein!

I'm not keen on the afterthought heel since it is pointy but yes it flattens out with wear. What do I know? My daughter will curse me when she finally sees her Eclipse socks has two toes!

Is that a skein from Once More with Feelings on that Princess Foot heel?

How goes it with the Stitches West prep?
