Boyfriend: Did you go outside today?
Me: No, why would I go outside?
Boyfriend: … because humans need sun and air to survive?
Me: Well, I didn’t go outside today. Why did you think I did?
Boyfriend: The door was unlocked.
Me: I opened it for the mailman. Oh, wait, that totally counts! I went outside today because the cat got out!
Boyfriend: You realize you’re weird, right?
Me: What’s weird about not going outside?
Boyfriend: For three days in a row?
Me: Four.
Boyfriend: …
Me: Ok, I got the mail. And did laundry – and took out the trash. I totally went outside. That definitely counts.
Boyfriend: No, not really.
Me: Well, did you go outside today?
Boyfriend: …
Me: That’s what I thought. You spend all day at your desk, didn’t you?
Boyfriend: …
Me: Win. I rest my case.

Welcome to feministy.com, the website of designer Liz Abinante. I like to design fashionable knitwear garments and accessories for women. I also teach. I'm best known for my original shawl pattern, Traveling Woman. I try to design each pattern with multiple options so knitters can use a different yarn, gauge, or needle to create the project of their dreams.
