Clue #3 is here, albeit a little late. Time to celebrate! Grab your knitting and get going. Next week’s Clue #4 will most likely be posted on Friday. I can’t 100% for certain say the posting date since I’ll be arriving in Chicago on Wednesday, but I’m not certain when my equipment for the internet will arrive.

If you have 400 yards or less:
- Option 1: work the Transition chart, skip Body part 1, work Body part 2.
- Option 2: work the Transition chart, work Body part 1, work fewer repeats of Body part 2.

Just sat down to check and bingo, there it was. Yahoo…
thanks Liz! have a safe drive to your new home!
I have been waiting to check my email today until I finished Clue #2 — just as I finished and opened my email *ding* the new clue arrived!! Perfect timing!
Question about clue 3.
I have 574 yards in the yarn that I’m using, where is the best place to add repeats? No hurry on the answer, I’m not done with #2 yet! Thanks for the KAL!
Is Row 6 and 12 in the transition center supposed to break the stockinette and go garter in the center?
Second table (body part 1), row four, Edge (first) – I suspect there should not be a yo before the sm.
Also row 10, which seems to have an extra yo. Also the number of stitches doesn’t add up – there are 3 (or 1) left at the end of the section. I am not sure whether this is my mistake or that of the pattern.
Body part 1, there is an extra yo at the end of left edge section.
Sorry should have said in rows 4 and 10
I think there’s a yo missing in the transition table, at the end of the first edge? Since there’s a corresponding yo on the other side (like previously in the pattern).
Ops, that was already corrected. Sorry :)
I am beginning row 10 of the Body. If there is not supposed to be a YO there, let us know. Stopped until I hear. Anyone one there yet with an opinion?
I did do the yo on Row 4, but remember I had to fudge a stitch on the next row….so maybe that is an error also??? or maybe I goofed!
Same question as Talana. Wondering if it’s really knit or if it’s purl on rows 6 and 12.
Rows 6 and 12 are correct, and should be worked as written.
In Body Part 2: Row 4 of the table does not appear to work as there is an odd number of stitches in the Edge section. Not sure if I should add an extra stitch in or just k1 instead of k2 at the end of the row. I want to end up with the right number of stitches for the next clue. :)
There is a rogue yo in row three of Body Part 1 table. There is a yo on the left edge section but not the right which throws off row 4 with an odd # of stitches. I think there should be one more yo on the other side, but not sure where it should go to stay in pattern?
hmmm now I think I’m missing something…. maybe I’m just not reading it properly? As there seem to be an even # of yo’s…… back to ripping it out to the lifeline and starting again.
When I get to Row 4 of the last table of this clue, I have an odd number of stitches in my “edge” section between the markers, but the pattern assumes an even number of stitches between the markers. This has been discussed on the Rav group – I’m pretty sure the best solution is to decrease (or increase) one stitch before starting the repeats of the last table, that way the # of stitches between the markers will be even and the pattern will line up and the edges on both sides look the same way as in the edge sections of the Body Pt 1 table.
Liz,
I’m having a hard time with the second Body chart. I’ve worked the transition to this chart, and rows 1,2, and 3. However when I come to row 4, I am having 3 stitches before the marker, rather than the two listed. Other people on the Rav board are having the same issue. The stitch count leading into this row is odd, and the only way to have 2 left before the marker is an even stitch count. I’m wondering if several of us are messing up or if there is an error in the chart.
Hi Liz
1st: Thank you for this Mystery KAL, a shape I never did. Nice to knit it
2nd; I`m German mothertongue from Switzerland . I sometimes I have trouble to undertand English. Now I read and read the pattern from Clue 3, but I not found an answer: Have I knit to Body part1 and part2 or to knit Body1 OR Body 2? An in Part2: Do I have to knit the written part once, and three times the body in the table – or here also written part or table part?
Thank you for a short answer and sorry to bother you with so simple questions.
Kind regards
Baba

How long should it be after knitting clue #3? I’m not sure how many repeats of the last table I should do. Thanks!
Just in case no one noticed, the last chart is titled Edge- BORDER-Edge.. You should probably change that Border to Center so as not to confuse anyone at least in the paid version.
