This cuff down pattern transitions from eyelets to the main Traveling Woman lace chart across the leg. The final edge chart spans the toe, with some sizes working the edge chart during the toe decreases. Separate sets of instructions, charts, and written lace are included for each size and yarn weight. The sock utilizes a heel flap and wedge toe, but provides instructions for a star toe as well.
Traveling Socks are worked cuff down, with instructions for small, medium, and large socks in both fingering and sport weight. The socks are pictured in size medium, fingering weight.
Pattern customizations include:
Special skills required include grafting, knitting in the round, and general understanding of sock construction.
Gauge, fingering weight: 30 sts and 34 rows per 4”/10cm.
Gauge, sport weight: 26 sts and 32 rows per 4”/10cm.

The Traveling Scarf is my favorite of the Traveling Woman Collection. It includes instructions for a scarf in fingering weight and a stole in worsted weight. Don’t be afraid to branch out, though. I’ve included tables for additional yarn weights and sizes.
The pattern uses two different methods of construction: (1) requires a scale and one provisional cast on; (2) requires two provisional cast ons and grafting, but does not need a scale. Both methods work for any yarn weight and FO size and are designed to maximize your yardage.
The pattern includes both written instructions and charted instructions. Instructions are given to use every single last yard of your yarn. You have two options for knitting the pattern, one of which requires grafting (the other doesn’t).
Options for customization include:
Special skill requirements include: provisional cast on, grafting (optional), and lace knitting.

I have a secret love for cowls: they combine knitting the round, miles of stockinette, and warm, cozy comfort into one fantastically quick project.
Of all of the projects in the Traveling Woman Collection, Traveling Cowl is the quickest and easiest to customize. The pattern includes instructions for fingering and worsted weight yarns, both of which have a large and small size. If stockinette stitch is not your thing, I provide instructions for knitting the cowl all in lace without the stockinette stitch. The pattern is written in the round with additional instructions included for working the cowl flat with buttonholes.
Knit in the round or knit flat, your choice. Options to work the cowl entirely in lace or to add some emphasis to the lace pattern. Includes both charted and written lace instructions. The cowl comes in four different options depending on your yarn and cowl preference. If you prefer loose cowls, both large sizes are knit at a looser gauge, allowing the cowl to gently fall down your neck. The small/snug cowls are knit at a tighter gauge to allow for more sturdy construction. The larger cowls emphasize the lace, while the smaller cowls are built for warmth. Your choice of fingering weight or worsted weight, with a bonus bulky verion.
The lace motif is charted and written.
Customizations include instructions for additional yarn weights and an all-lace cowl. You should be familiar with knitting in the round or attaching buttons.

Being an indecisive individual, this shawl is named after two things. First, the song “Travelling Woman” by Bat for Lashes (she’s British, hence the extra “l”). “Travelling Woman” is a song about a brilliant woman with a promising future, who loses it all because she fell in love with a man who had too much potential, and not enough substance. She sings:
Hang on, travelling woman
Don’t sacrifice your plan
Cause it will come back to you
Before you lose it on the man.
The edge of the shawl represents the dangerous web of love, as well as its highs and lows. Along the bind off edge, the shawl can be blocked to subtle points, or straight.
Second, the character Angela Montenegro on Bones. If you’re familiar with Angela’s character, I think the song selection makes sense: she’s artistic, a believer in love, and just the type who might get in a little too deep before she can find her way out (she did get married in Fiji to a complete stranger, afterall). This is the second in a series of patterns based on the characters from the Bones television show.
And finally, the yarn used for this shawl traveled from California to London: it’s only fitting that the pattern be named Traveling Woman.
This is the pattern that started it all. The original. The first. The crazy idea that exploded into a series of four patterns. This new version of Traveling Woman contains instructions for 11 different sizes in 5 yarn weights: lace (medium, xlarge), fingering (xsmall, small, medium, large), sport/dk (xsmall, small, xlarge), and worsted (large, xlarge). Instructions are divided up based on yarn weights. Yarn informa- tion, gauge, and needle sizes are provided with each in- dividual set of instructions. All of the instructions use the same charts except for lace weight. Lace weight instructions have their own charts.
I may or may not have gone a little overboard when I decided to re-vamp the original Traveling Woman pattern. It includes a lot of upgrades! Row-by-row stitch counts are included for all of the sizes listed in the pattern. Instructions are given for common repeat sizes, as well as a formula for custom sizing.
Note that when purchased separately from the Traveling Woman Collection, this pattern includes 2 PDFs: one with the pattern, and one with the legends.
