I just barely scraped this pair of socks out for the month of July, but I’m very pleased with them. The yarn and stitch combination were perfect - I love them together. I don’t feel like I lost much stitch definition or color variegation, which is always a win in my book.

Finish Date: July 31, 2008
There isn’t much I could tell you about this pattern that you don’t already know. The decision to omit the purls in this pair was a wise one, and I definitely prefer the no purl version to the original.
The yarn is an absolute dream to knit with: so soft and smooth, yet totally durable and warm. It’s my dream sock yarn: the nylon doesn’t make it feel too synthetic, and the merino doesn’t make it a poor choice for socks. It’s basically a match made in sock heaven.
The color was perfect: yet another amazing selection from Becky of dkKnits. I’ve never belonged to any other sock clubs, but I’m fairly certain I’ll never join a different one after being in Becky’s. She custom dyes the skein for you every month, always fitted to your personality and tastes - which she uncovers with a questionnaire after your purchase. She has an eye for color unlike anyone else. What can I say? I’m a little biased: I have 25 skeins from her, just waiting to be knit up.
