hibiscus shadow - special occasion - dkknits hibiscus shadow - special occasion - dkknits

I’ve had this yarn lurking around in my stash for a few months, and I’ve finally given into the temptation to pet it. It’s 420 yards of fingering weight 63% superwash merino, 30% silk, 12% nylon, and 2% silver fabulousness - a gorgeous and deliciously soft combination. I don’t want to knit socks with it: way too pretty to be restricted to my feet. I was thinking a rhombus-shaped plain stockinette scarf, but now I’m thinking perhaps a Lace Ribbon Scarf?

Suggestions?

My suggestion is that would look much better in MY stash than yours.

I have a pattern that I got from Knitty that’s called “heart” by stephannie roy, i think the pink/red combo would look pretty awesome w/ the hearts…or how about a cloche style hat? it would definitely turn heads :)

You are pretty good at lace, I think a fab lace stitch from Barbara Walker (or other) that you love, and then adopt the form of wisp, with the buttons, it seems pretty versatile. (Thus not having to decide between small wrap/headscarf/cowl). Plus then you get to shop for buttons!

Thanks Liz for enabling with another pattern. I have some yarn which seems to be similar to the one you have with a wee bit of sparkle in it. I had no clue what I was gonna do with it, now I have a pattern. Oh yah and thanks for the heads up/kick in the ass about Safari!!! It rocks! Even on a pc.
