So, my fellow knitters, I have some questions for you - just out of general curiosity. Mostly, I wonder because I don’t know any knitters except for my knitting friends online. All of my friends are non-knitters, so I get made fun of a lot for how much I knit, and how much I spend. While I talk to a lot of people on Ravelry, we don’t necessarily take the time to ask questions about the most basic thing. Favorite fibers, favorite thing to knit, worst thing you ever knit, etc, etc.

So I decided to start asking the questions. This week, I want to know how many items you have “in progress” at a time. This may, or may not, depending on your perception, include hibernating items.

My answer to this week’s question? I usually keep the number of works in progress (hibernating or otherwise) to under 10. But I know it’s too many when I can’t think of them all off of the top of my head. Some of my projects I don’t necessarily count as wips because they are my “filler projects” that I do when my more complicated ones lead me to a strange desire to shove my knitting needles in my eyeballs.

I never have more than 3 projects on the needles at once, and usually only one or two. I just can’t afford much more yarn than that, usually.

Also- good luck on the Anastasias! When I started my second sock, I discovered I’d been doing ssks wrong since I learned how to knit. It was a very enlightening experience ;-)
