I finished spinning this a few weeks ago, but never got around to taking photos and sharing it with the world. Although, why I’d want to share this hot mess with the world is beyond me: it’s ridiculously overspun in some areas, and totally underspun in others. The end result is kind of tragic, but I’m quite proud nevertheless.

So here’s my first (ok, second) attempt at handspinning, with 2oz of 50/50 bombay silk and merino wool.

Sad little handspun

Sad little handspun

Told you it was a bit ridiculous…

I’m knitting it up into a cowl, which I figure I have enough yarn for, and the thick-and-thin won’t look nearly as bad. Right?
