I’ve had a burning desire to knit socks lately - which is not uncommon for me. I love knitting socks. It’s quite addicting.

However, I have been browsing the pattern pages of Ravelry and nothing has motivated me thus far.

I’ve done Monkey (with and without the purl), Jaywalker, and Spring Forward. I have no interest in Pomatomus, Bellatrix, or Charade. I don’t particularly enjoy cables on socks, but I don’t try to avoid them.

So, what would you knit?

You name the color, I have it.

Suggest sock patterns to me, oh wise ones.

I have to say that Hedera is always one of my standbys… super-simple pattern, lovely finished product.

Also, despite your dislike of cables, you ought to check out Nagini. It’s a really nifty pattern.

And Esther. Definitely Esther.

I don’t know if it is on Ravelry or not but I think the Primavera socks are quite pretty.

Audrey beat me to it: Hedera is one of my very favorite sock patterns… they always turn out beautifully and look fairly complicated for an easy-to-remember pattern. Good call on staying away from Bellatrix - I tried the pattern recently and it’s just ugly!
